The answer is yes. The vaccinations we offer are intended to keep your family pet healthy. Your veterinarian will assess your pet and recommend a vaccination protocol that is appropriately tailored to your pet’s lifestyle and medical history.

Payment is expected when services are rendered. We also offer Care Credit. Care Credit is a line of credit that you can apply for at our clinic. It only takes a moment to fill-out the application and we process it on the spot. We accept checks, cash, and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover).

How often does my pet need to visit the vet?2015-02-01T18:07:12+00:00

We recommend an annual visit during which your pet receives all vaccinations, a full physical, and yearly blood work. We also recommend a 6 month wellness visit during the year to address any questions you may have and ensure all flea prevention and heart-worm medications are current. Of course, we are happy to see your pet anytime you feel a visit is required. No question is silly and no concern is too small.

We do not offer grooming, but we do offer a few grooming services. Please call to see which veterinary services are available.

We are located at 1490 Leestown Rd. Lexington, KY. MAC is approximately ¾ mile inside New Circle. If you are coming from downtown Lexington, we are about ½ mile past Forbes Rd.

We are here 8am – 12pm and 2pm – 6pm Monday – Friday. 9am – 12pm Saturday. 5:30pm – 6pm Sunday (pet pick-up only).

We offer boarding for cats and dogs. We board during the week, over weekends and holidays, as well as offering daycare services. Please visit our forms page to download our boarding agreement.

Do I have to schedule an appointment ahead of time?2020-04-04T02:02:10+00:00

We try to accommodate all of our patients. While we encourage all our owners to make appointments for preventative care, we realize that sometimes your pet will need to see the vet with little notice. We are happy to see all walk-in clients as quickly as we can work you into our schedule. To schedule an appointment contact us.

Pet insurance is available through several different companies. These companies require owners to pay when services are rendered, then reimburse owners.

Does my pet need flea prevention?2015-02-01T18:01:34+00:00

Yes. All animals, indoor and outdoor, need flea prevention. We recommend year-round flea prevention and offer several options to suit you and your pet. Fleas are difficult to kill and the best solution is prevention. For more information on fleas, flea born diseases, and flea prevention, please visit our office.

Yes, your dog needs heart-worm prevention throughout his/her life. Heart-worm is dangerous and very deadly. The best way to avoid this parasite is through annual heart-worm tests and heart-worm prevention treatment. Your vet will offer you treatment options that best suit your animal. We have an in-house pharmacy here at the clinic. We are happy to fill your prescriptions, saving you time and money.
